Bryant Wright, president of Send Relief, stands alongside Pastor Steven Ruff of First Baptist Church in Perry, Florida, where a staging area has been set up for the Florida Baptist Disaster Relief team. After Hurricane Helene made landfall—marking the third hurricane to hit the Big Bend region in the past 13 months—teams have been tirelessly serving the community. From providing meals through a Salvation Army partnership to cleanup, temporary roofing, and mud-out efforts, volunteers have been on the ground since day one. Pastor Ruff shares how teams across the state have brought hope and healing to families in Perry and surrounding counties.
